Entry requirements (all Ph.D. programmes)

Applicants typically hold a master’s degree in a related field. Experienced professionals without a master’s degree but with a good standing bachelor’s degree and significant industry experience in a relevant role are also welcome.

  • Academic requirements: A Master’s degree in a related field is normally expected. Applicants without a Master’s degree may be considered where they hold a Bachelor’s degree in related field, supported by substantial relevant professional experience and/or equivalent professional qualifications/certifications.
  • Professional setting: You should be working in, or have access to, a professional setting relevant to your research topic.
  • Interview/portfolio: Interview and/or portfolio of work/CV will be required.
  • References: At least one reference from your current or most recent employer (or school/university for continuing students) confirming suitability for doctoral study.
  • English language: Where English is not your first language, evidence of English language proficiency may be required as part of the admissions process.

Teaching & assessment

All three doctoral programmes are delivered through an innovative hybrid teaching model combining online learning with live support from a dedicated Doctoral Supervisor. They are UK RQF Level 8 doctoral qualifications carrying 360 CATS (UK credits), equivalent to 180 ECTS.

The learning approach combines asynchronous materials, live tutorials and one-to-one supervision meetings (typically fortnightly or monthly). Candidates maintain reflective journals, engage in research communities and present work in online colloquia and peer review sessions.

Fees & funding

The tuition fee is a fixed one-off payment for the full programme, payable in full or via an instalment plan. For example, a 2-year instalment plan would entail an initial deposit plus around €2500 EUR after 18 months.

  • Enrolment fee: €55 EUR (payable upon acceptance).
  • Extension fee: €1,120 EUR per additional year beyond 24 months.
  • Final award fee: €190 EUR to cover viva voce panel and award administration.
  • Optional thesis review: €380 EUR for English language expert proofing.
  • Optional English support: €45 EUR per session with Cambridge-certified academic writing tutors.
  • Fees are charged in Euros; payment in other currencies is converted to EUR.
  • No application fee; payment plans available.
  • Scholarships, grants or tuition fee waivers may be available.
