Role types at LSICT
As LSICT grows, we expect to recruit a mix of academic and professional staff, as well as visiting lecturers and research supervisors who bring current industry and research experience into our programmes.
Academic roles
Teaching and research posts in areas such as artificial intelligence, data science, cybersecurity, software engineering and related disciplines.
- Module leadership and curriculum design.
- Supervision of postgraduate and doctoral projects.
- Contribution to research, publication and knowledge exchange.
Professional services roles
Professional staff who support students, teachers and partners and help deliver a high-quality learning environment.
- Student experience and academic administration.
- Digital learning and learning technology support.
- Marketing, admissions and partnership coordination.
Visiting lecturers and supervisors
Practice-focused specialists who teach on specific modules or supervise projects alongside their primary roles in industry or other institutions.
- Short, intensive teaching blocks or online delivery.
- Supervision of applied projects and dissertations.
- Guest talks, seminars and industry case studies.
Current and future opportunities
In the early phases of development, many roles at LSICT will be part-time, visiting or sessional, with the expectation of further growth as programmes and partnerships expand.
As we move through our development plan, we anticipate opportunities in areas such as:
- Teaching on postgraduate and doctoral programmes in intelligent computing.
- Supervising research projects linked to the Research and Innovation Hub.
